Hello fellow Rotarians,

Welcome to a new Rotary year! I'm excited to be taking the reins from Chelsea as I step into the role of President. Thank you for the confidence you've shown in me and for all the support I've received so far in preparing for the coming year. There are many things happening in Rotary, from the club and local Madison level, to district, to Rotary International, that we can take part in and truly make a difference in people's lives. I hope to continue to expand our own club's role in making a difference through the development of our signature project(s), scheduling speakers that resonate with our members, expanding our membership, and providing opportunities for our members to fulfill their passion for bettering the world.

Please join us this Sunday as we welcome Mandy Mommaerts from Ironman Wisconsin to tell us all about the volunteer-side of this huge event and what it takes to pull together, organize, and train over 3,000 volunteers each year. I've been volunteering for IM WI for over a decade as the Homestay Captain, connecting professional triathletes from all over the world with local host families, and I've made some truly wonderful friendships along the way. Learn how to sign up to volunteer with our club on Sunday, September 8th, and help us earn a $500 grant.

See you on Sunday!

Erin Luken
2019-2020 President
