Welcome to another issue of our weekly bulletin! Find out who our upcoming speakers are, what our club members are up to, and when to join us in service and fellowship!
President's Message
We are not quite three months into our Rotary year, and we have already volunteered for over 100 hours, fundraised over $1,000, participated in seven volunteer events, and have begun to host our Youth Exhange Student Brayden! (Not bad for about fifteen people!)
Next Monday, please join our club meeting as I share some of our past club involvement with Vocational Exchange and Global Grant initiatives. Part of the power of Rotary is our ability to leverage our international network! Come learn about how our club has done that in the past, and achieved multipliers of impact relative to our club size.
Thank you for everything that you continue to do for our club and our community!
A big "thank you" to all of our club members and friends who generously volunteered their time and effort to support Ironman Wisconsin 2023! We staffed shifts in many different areas of the race, including registration, swim, transition, bike, and run. Our club should be well on its way to earning the $500 Community Grant from the Ironman Foundation. This collaborative achievement underscores our commitment to fostering a positive impact in our community, and we look forward to continuing in the future. Thank you once again for your unwavering support and dedication to our shared goals.
The Madison Breakfast Club will be hosting a Cornhole tournament on September 30th, from 11-3:00, at the Wisconsin Brewing Company in Verona. Spread the word and feel free to register a team, or just show up to spectate and enjoy food and beer and raffles!
Note that this will be the same day as our Second Harvest volunteer event, which will run until 11:30, for anyone that is thinking about attending both.
