President's Message
Hi all,
Thank you to everyone that brought ideas to last week's planning meeting and to everyone that is helping to coordinate venue and partnership ideas for a Kids Against Hunger meal-packing event! I love our energy!
We have a lot going on this next week, with a Books for the World packing event on Saturday, then Jason will be joining our Monday club meeting to talk about the impact of Ironman in Madison, and our exchange student Brayden will arrive from Thailand on Wednesday! Please email me or madisonrotaryah@gmail.com to let us know if you plan to join us for Book Packing or to welcome Brayden at the airport.
If anyone has ideas for possible business partnerships for World Polio Month in October please bring your ideas on Monday! In the past we've sometimes partnered with bars such as Gib's to have drink specials that support Rotary's Polio Plus fund.
I hope you're all finding time to enjoy these final weeks of summer!

Welcome Joe!
Joe has lived in Madison since 2008, when he moved here for a Software Development position with Dane County. Madison has provided him with many exciting opportunities, great friends and experiences. He serves on the City of Madison's Disability Rights Commission, where he draws from his own experiences as a person born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy in order to educate and advocate on disability justice. Joe especially enjoys being engaged and active in his community and welcomes opportunities to be even more involved with the community and disability justice. Additionally, he enjoys the outdoors, films, and video games. His love for gaming has even led to stints as a video game tester, and an anime and sci-fi convention staff member!
Welcome to the Rotary Club of Madison- After Hours, Joe!
Volunteer for Ironman Wisconsin
Join in the fun as we volunteer for Ironman Wisconsin. The half Ironman will be on Saturday, September 9th, and the full Ironman will be on Sunday, September 10th, but you can get a shift in as early as September 7th helping with athlete registration and check-in. Please be sure to note when signing up that you're volunteering with the Rotary Club of Madison-After Hours!
Join us each month when we volunteer at the Lussier Family Education Center's food pantry. Our shift is the second Saturday of each month, 10:45 am-12:15 pm. Click below to access our sign-up sheet.
